The Fluke Insulation Multimeters is a combination of advanced digital tester with a full-featured RMS digital multimeter in a minimized, handheld unit, which gives greatest flexibility to both troubleshooting and precaution support.

The insulation test of both 1577 and 1588 consist of smooth reading capabilities and can be filtered for motor drive measurements. The features of fluke 1577 are as follows:

• Manual-and auto-going digital protection multimeter measures insulation resistance, current, voltage, and resistance for testing line protection for engines, generators, links, and shift gear

• The RMS meter gives precise readings when estimating direct or nonlinear burdens where the current or voltage has an undistorted or contorted waveform

• Protection test voltages of 550V and 1000V and protection estimation scope of 0.1 to 600 megaohms
